Why is commonly called SIX DAYS (SIX DAYS)?

How many years has the competence to take place?
The first edition of the Six Day took place in 1913 being the event’s oldest motorcycle sports. In Mexico we have the 85th edition.
How long ago that Mexico participates in this competition?
Mexico’s participation in the ISDE sum 30 years
How many countries participate in the ISDE?
It is expected that the ISDE 2010 will count with the participation of 40 countries and 550 athletes
Race information
Is there any special rules for motorcycles?
They have to comply with the agreement of the International Convention of Vienna of 1968 in which a motorcycle that can flow needs front and rear lights, run the stop and that the noise emitted does not exceed 94 decibels.
How demanding is the race?
They are 6 days of competition with cross-country routes to more than 200 miles a day. During the journey will be 5 special speed tests and should be kept by the organizer times proposed. Daily will be more than 7 hours of competition.
How many miles are traveled in the ISDE?
According to the Rules of the FIM must be between 1.100 and 1.350 km in total.
Does the aid of mechanics is allowed?
No, the pilot in addition to driving the motorcycle have to fix any damage that is in it for 6 days. Allowed only help replenish fuels.
Are the tires last 6 days?
Although special tires, as allowed in the city, the journey between stones, mud, etc.. these must be changed constantly. This work also must be performed by the pilot. Great champions change two tires on a daily basis over a period of 15 minutes allowed the regulation to the end of each day.
How to end the ISDE?
With a test starts between 30-40 motocross riders on the grid formed by cumulative score during the first 5 days. There are regular 10 to 14 sleeves of motocross. At night they held a big party where they end awards race nerves and flows of camaraderie and good atmosphere.

Which is how we participate?
There are 3 classes:
E1 100cc bikes to 125cc 2 stroke
175cc bikes to 250cc 4 stroke
E2 175cc bikes to 250cc 2 stroke
Motorcycles 450cc to 250cc 4-stroke
E3 290cc bikes to 500cc 2 stroke
475cc to 650cc bikes in 4 days
For a pilot can register to be part of any of these teams:
Team Trophy – 6 drivers representing a country, must have 3 classes.
Junior Trophy Team – 4 driver under 23 years representing a country, must have at least 2 classes.
Team Club – 3 representing a Motoclub pilots, there is no requirement classes.
If the organizer has quota can support individual pilots.
How do you reward the ISDE?
The team of 6 pilots with the best collective result is given the World Trophy which is inscribed the country and the names of its pilots. The team of 4 riders under 23 years with the best collective result is given the Junior World Trophy following the same protocol as in the World Trophy. Club team with the best collective result is the delivery a special trophy that, unlike the 2 above is not necessary to return.
At the women’s team of 3 riders with the best collective outcome, is given the Enduro Women’s World Cup, for which we follow the same procedures as the world trophies.
Also reward the second and third places in all previous awards.
The ISDE, often called the “OLYMPICS OF THE MOTORCYCLE” because all the drivers who finish grueling join are given gold, silver or bronze, depending on its outcome. Still another factor that makes it look like the Olympics is that a few days before the start of the race takes place the traditional Parade of Nations.
Do the professionals involved in the ISDE?
The International Six Days Enduro is the only motor sport competition where they mix with professionals competing alongside amateurs with the same times and regulations.
